The summer holiday is officially over and daily life is once returning. For the past 5 weeks I’ve been a guest and had guests. There hasn’t been one day where I have been entirely alone. It’s been strange, but extremely enjoyable. My two weeks in Holland was filled with sun, friends and activities almost everyday. We visited Center Parcs, we played Dungeons and Dragons, we went to a LARP. We had a BBQ, we went to other small towns to meet people quite randomly. Then we left for my beloved home town in Norway where the clouds and rain have decided to take over. We had a few days here with sun where we went on a one-day road-trip. We got to swim a bit in a cold lake. climbed two mountains, sat in an out-door-museum which was devoid of people. We went to Stockholm, and I am sorry to say to my Swedish readers, that I have decided that I don’t particularly like Stockholm all that much. Despite me having been there 4 times now, I could say it’s because it’s filled with so many swedes. But it’s not really that, I have a lot of Swedish friends and they are all great. I think it’s simply the lack of personality of the city. It’s just buildings after buildings and not much of charisma.
We’re already planning our next trip, I suppose we started planning it already in the second week of me being in Holland. The next two trips in-fact. Edinburgh and Istanbul. I hope the time will pass quickly and till I get to see him again. And somehow I think it will, the 6 months between New years and July went surprisingly fast, I thought it’d be torture. But no - it went by like no time at all. I am looking forward to see him again.
